Kathryn Boulton

Kathryn has worked in education and children’s services for over 37 years having started life as a teacher.  Soon to retire from the role of Executive Director Children and Families in Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council after nearly 5 privileged years, Kathryn has held a number of senior roles across different authorities for the past 20 years.

Kathryn aims to continue to work in the Children’s sector as an executive coach and consultant and hopes to continue her passion for making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people, their families, and communities.

Kathryn engaged Grit to work with her extended leadership team in 2022 and was struck by the profound impact of the programme and transformation both at an individual level and team level.  Having first-hand experience of the difference Grit can make, she is keen to support the Board and the work of the organisation.

 When not working, Kathryn loves to send quality time with friends and family enjoying the simple pleasures in life.  She also likes to be outdoors either walking or cycling whatever the weather!
